Introduction to Woodblock Printing
Discover the fundamentals of transforming your image into a woodblock print. You’ll be guided through the basic techniques of carving, using different mark-making techniques for visual effects, inking and printing the woodblock to make a small edition to take away with you. You’ll gain the confidence to create your own woodblock prints at home, which can be used for cards, textile design or small print editions.

Introduction to Screen-printing
Learn the basics on how to create a screen-prints on paper using your own unique, hand-cut stencils. You’ll be using Permaset’s eco-friendly, water based, non-toxic screen-printing inks, PERMAPRINT Premium Process, sponsored by Permaset and Gordon Harris Art Supplies. Learn how to mix colours using a colour chart and apply the ink through the screen.

Introduction to Drypoint of Tetrapak Carton
Explore the range of tone, line and texture that can be achieved with this accessible, versatile medium. You will learn how to create instant and surprising results by cutting, scoring and peeling the Tetrapak carton to create your own unique images. You will also be shown how to prepare the paper, ink your plate and use an intaglio etching press.
